After Ruin, Rebuilding: The Choice to Learn from War
16 October 2026
Stop war before it turns ordinary people into killers.

Composite image: a town devastated in 1945 and rebuilt in 2026, beside an illustrative scene of neighbors working together to restore a home.
This image places devastation beside recovery. It shows what people can rebuild after war—but rebuilding cannot undo lives lost or harm inflicted. We must learn from the past and refuse to glorify violence. War is not an abstraction: it destroys homes, ends lives, and can turn ordinary people into killers.
Those who perpetrate violence do not define everyone who shares their nationality. Many who have suffered the same violence go on to choose peaceful lives. We should condemn crimes and oppression without condemning entire societies.
Let us stand stronger together for peace against every war and all oppression. When violence reaches your home, it may be too late to seek help. Terror, torture, and death can follow. The time to resist war is before it comes knocking.
