WHEN WILL HUMANITY FINALLY LEARN?

WHEN WILL HUMAN BEINGS FINALLY UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PLANET DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM?

Who originally owned the land beneath our feet? Who sold it to the first king, emperor, sultan or monarch? Who gave anyone the divine authority to declare entire territories their personal property?

Throughout history, vast territories have been conquered, seized and controlled through violence, displacement, exploitation and the killing of innocent people who were simply trying to live their lives.

Kings, emperors, sultans, colonial rulers and powerful institutions claimed ownership of lands where other human beings had lived for generations.

And today, centuries later, people continue to fight, kill and die over those inherited claims.

A flag does not make a human life more valuable. A crown does not make someone superior. And a religious text does not give anyone the moral right to dispossess or murder another human being.

Yet millions continue to bow before monarchs, worship political leaders and treat powerful individuals as though they belong to a superior species.

And then there is another extraordinary human obsession: the worship of fame.

Singers, actors, celebrities, billionaires and public figures are elevated to almost divine status simply because they are famous, wealthy or influential.

Admire someone’s talent if you wish. Appreciate their achievements. But why worship another human being?

They eat, sleep, age and die just like everyone else and ah yes sorry they also shit exactly like you.

Fame is not wisdom. Wealth is not morality. Power is not greatness.

And religion?

I question religious institutions that claim exclusive possession of divine truth while history records persecution, forced conversion, religious wars and atrocities committed in the name of God.

I do not accept that any religion should have unquestionable authority over humanity, nor that religious belief alone establishes historical truth.

Claims about God, sacred land, divine promises and religious figures should be open to examination and criticism, just like every other claim.

The historical existence of Jesus, for example, is generally accepted by historians, even though supernatural claims about him remain matters of faith rather than established historical fact.

And Jerusalem?

Jerusalem is not a justification for killing anyone.

It is a city with a long, complex history and profound significance to Jews, Christians and Muslims, as well as to the people who live there today but none of them own it.

No religious or national claim can justify the murder of civilians, the displacement of families or the denial of another people’s humanity.

The same principle applies everywhere: Palestine, Israel, Ukraine, Sudan and every other place where innocent people suffer because powerful individuals believe their ambitions are worth more than human lives.

No innocent child should have to die because adults cannot agree about land, religion, borders or political power.

That is the tragedy of our species.

We have developed extraordinary technologies, explored space, built magnificent cities and acquired immense scientific knowledge.

Yet we still behave as though killing one another is an acceptable method of resolving disagreements.

We continue to glorify conquest, celebrate military power, idolize authority and teach generations to inherit hatreds they did not create.

And for what?

A piece of land? A flag? A crown? A religious claim? An ideology? Someone’s enormous ego?

Yesterday, a personal conflict I witness after 6 years ended because two people finally stopped fighting and addressed what actually mattered.

Imagine what humanity could accomplish if governments, political leaders and religious authorities learned to do the same.

Peace does not require everyone to agree. It requires us to recognize that disagreement is never a licence to destroy another human life.

No king, president, billionaire, celebrity or religious authority is worth more than an innocent child.

No land is worth the deliberate killing of civilians.

No ideology is worth the destruction of humanity.

THE EARTH EXISTED LONG BEFORE OUR KINGDOMS, RELIGIONS, FLAGS AND BORDERS. AND IT WILL EXIST LONG AFTER THEY ARE GONE.

Perhaps it is time we stopped behaving like owners of the planet and started behaving like responsible inhabitants of it.

STRONGER TOGETHER.

WHO REALLY HOLDS THE POWER?

Human faces and the structures of power

POWER, INFLUENCE & ACCOUNTABILITY

Throughout history, wealth, political authority, religious institutions, and mass media have influenced societies. But influence must never be confused with the right to control or exploit humanity.

Question power. Demand accountability. Reject hatred and collective blame.

The people deserve accountability
